2011 Barbera
Short Description
Our small patch of Barbera was picked as late as possible to allow the wine to be made on the vine for maximum fruit intensity. The grapes were cold-soaked, naturally fermented and then basket-pressed in the classic Italian style.
Additional Product Information
The result, says Skimstone’s Josh Clementson “is a very exciting Barbera with intense fruit – dark berries and currants – and a rich red colour. It’s low in tannins, high in alcohol, yet silky smooth.”
Consider teaming this wine with a slow-roasted veal shoulder with lemon & garlic. Drink now or cellar up to ten years.
